CSTP is happy to announce that applications for our CRE residencies and design studios are now open for the 26-27 school year!

This school year, we are offering a limited number of CRE Experiences in multiple formats: a three-day CRE Residency (which includes the classroom experience) and a two-day Intensive Design Studio (which does not include the classroom experience). We hope to bring this experience to as many teachers as possible; therefore, we are looking for districts or schools in the same region to partner to reach up to 50 participants for each experience.

Culturally Responsive Teacher Experiences are a unique and intensive professional development experience in which your team receives coaching, facilitation and technical assistance from Dr. Adeyemi Stembridge, author of “Culturally Responsive Education in the Classroom” and “Brilliant Teaching: Using Culture and Artful Thinking to Close Equity Gaps”.

Residencies are designed based on the needs of your educators and their students, and include learning, coaching and technical assistance around the mental model that serves as the foundation for a culturally responsive classroom. Residencies will also bring teachers into a classroom for hands-on instructional experience.

Immersive Design Studios are a two-day experience which will focus exclusively on the design, refinement, and collaborative analysis of CRE Experiences. They will not include classroom application. This is open to all educators, including those who have not attended a residency before.
