National Board Support
CSTP provides support to National Board Certified Teachers and Candidates
CSTP supports Washington state’s efforts to increase the number of teachers that are National Board certified, a nationally recognized professional standard in education. Per OSPI’s Report Card, as of the 2023-24 school year, 10.5% of Washington’s teachers were NB certified, amounting to 7,255 teachers statewide.

NBCT Cohorts
CSTP offers a variety of cohort support for NBCT candidates.
Online National Board Cohort Support
CSTP is supporting online Washington national board candidates with a cohort located over Zoom with OSPI trained National Board Facilitators. See our Events pages for registration details.
National Board Music Cohort in Olympia
CSTP is supporting Olympia-area National Board candidates with a component support cohort located at Centennial Elementary School with a state-trained national board facilitator, Stacy Brown. This cohort will have a music focus. See our Events page for registration and details.
National Board Partners
CSTP works in conjunction with the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) and the Washington Education Association (WEA) to provide access to information about National Board resources in Washington. Access links to their sites below.
