SUMMARY:National Board Cohort Support: Olympia Music
DESCRIPTION:CSTP is supporting Olympia-area National Board candidates with a component support cohort located at Centennial Elementary School with a state-trained national board facilitator\, Stacy Brown. This cohort will have a music focus. Component 2 and 3 will be hosted during the 2024-2025 school year\, with additional components offered the following year. Each component will involve four total meetings. \nCandidates must register and pay for facilitation by the first meeting date of a component. \nPlease note\, the completion of a Jump Start or a Foundations course will be required before the first meeting. Candidates are encouraged to register early as our small cohorts fill up early\, and must register at least two weeks prior to the first meeting. If you receive an OSPI National Board Conditional Loan\, you should register by November 29\, 2024 so that we can provide OSPI with proof of your registration in a state-approved cohort as per the conditions of that loan. SUMMARY:WERD Book Study: Brilliant Teaching
DESCRIPTION:In partnership with OSPI\, CSTP is excited to host the WERD (WA Educators Read and Discuss) Book Study. These statewide book studies are open to all educators in Washington State including teachers\, paraprofessionals\, principals\, administrators\, and ESAs. This 2024- 2025 school year we will be doing another round of both Culturally Responsive Education in the Classroom: An Equity Framework for Pedagogy and Brilliant Teaching: Using Culture and Artful Thinking to Close Equity Gaps. \nThese courses are free\, with a small processing fee to register your clock hours. \nIf you are interested in serving as a facilitator for our small group discussions\, please fill out this interest form! Please note that we are limiting the number of participants to ensure a balanced ratio of facilitators to participants so make sure to register soon! \n1/9/25 – 2/6/25 – Brilliant Teaching: Using Culture and Artful Thinking to Close Equity Gaps written by Dr. Adeyemi Stembridge. \n!!REGISTRATION  FULL!!
